I've been reading about over inflating the car tires for better MPG. Is that dangerous to do? If you've done it, can you let me know how well it's worked for you?

Right now my tires are at 29 PSI, but thinking about upping it to 33.

Its really not dangerous at all. The only negative sides to inflating your tires to max sidewall (some guys go even higher) is a rougher ride and worse traction in snow. The positives are better traction on dry and wet pavement, increased steering respose, better tire wear, and better gas mileage.
