Hello,

I drive a 2002 Saturn SL-1 and would like to improve the mileage as much as possible. Anyone know if there are reasonably priced intake and exhaust modifications that would yield better mileage?

No.
Welcome!
Best bang for the buck:
1 adjust the nut behind the wheel!
2 increase the psi in tires to 40+
3 get a gauge ( see link in my sig)

Welcome from the suburbs of Washington DC. What kind of mileage are you seeing now? Set up a page in the garage so you can track your progress.

My roomate had an '02 SL-1 & it was a real miser, even with the automatic.

Welcome to the site. Mcrews is right. The best gains are from driver modification, and instrumentation (SG or ultragauge) would help you the most.

Keeping your car clean, not hauling dead weights around, also helps with the mileage.
