A coworker just bought a CVT Mirage over the weekend with a good bit chopped off the sticker price, I guess this is why. It's funny that for about the same price I paid for my '05 Prius with 85k miles almost 3 years ago, you can buy a new car that gets pretty close to the same MPG (Prius is a bigger car, so at least I have that).

I'm not sure. He just got to the unit from training (military) and didn't have a car (at least not here). He mentioned having a Passat in the past that was a maintenance nightmare. He was just looking for a cheap car to get from A to B. I believe his is a base model with the only option being the CVT.

So mindblown that the same company that made the PAP series AK47 rifles made Yugo automobiles.

Further mindblown, that Zastava Automobile became Fiat. Fiat is the new Yugo.

See them on Cars for $7777 in Chicago, most of us can't get the last $500 rebate so $8277-8500, I really should go get one. But an Outlander Sport looks like a pretty good buy and the extra size will make moving just graduated and almost college bound kids around the next few years easier, but 2x the money, 2 mirages could fit as much stuff.

3500 rebate = best month ever

Looks like you may get your wish.

They sold more Mirages last month in the US than any other since its launch!

  • 1793 = average monthly sales for all of 2015
  • 4113 = Mirages sold in March
Surprise: the rebate continues this month on 2015's.

The revised 2017 model has already started trickling into dealerships in the States and Canada.

I don't think the Mirage's EPA ratings will be affected.

But the average person probably won't make that distinction. The takeaway will be: Mitsubishi's fuel economy ratings are fake.

That's going to hurt them, especially on models where gas mileage is the selling point. Not here, where the EPA rating is simply a benchmark to frame real numbers against. Oddly, none of the stories I saw mentioned specific models- or which Nissan models were affected. They could very well be JDM platforms, but the Mitsubishi name is going to take a hit- and that's a great time to be looking to buy one.
