Personally... I... I'm not sure. The front styling isn't doing anything for me. Having the headlights right below the windshield is one of the main things going against it for me. The rear looks good though, and very aerodynamic. I love the roof!

Not bad in the general plan, but some of the details need work. The front's ugly, and the back is worse - especially those taillights.

Prius C:

The Prius C is obviously not production-intent, but it's getting closer.

Although they're clearly not building the 1/x that I'd very much love to have, it looks like they're headed in the right direction with this one.

Here's the press release:

While the current Prius has ushered hybrid technology into the mainstream, and the Prius v will provide the additional room and versatility for active families, compact shoppers are interested in a smaller hybrid at an entry price point and with superior fuel economy. The Prius c Concept, with c representing a “city”-centric vehicle, will appeal to young singles and couples who want an eco-sensitive, high-mileage, fun-to-drive Prius.

This dynamic vehicle with urban appeal will pursue outstanding fuel efficiency in a compact package, while also providing a surprisingly spacious interior. It will include many advanced technology features, including some offered on the current Prius.

Prius c Concept is the inspiration for an additional Prius family member that will come to market in the first half of 2012 as the most value-oriented hybrid in the U.S. market with the highest mileage of any “cordless” hybrid.
I don't see me trading in an Insight on one, but I really hope it sells well for them, and gets the other car companies to try to beat it.

When I look at the rear I am thinking of a "good looking" Nissan Leaf. In fact, I wish the Leaf looked like the Prius C.

Even though it's bad for aero, I can't help but also think of a classic VW Beetle's rear lights :

Thanks for finding the pix! I like the side view :

I am *very* happy that the lengthwise "crease" is staying intact and not getting all wavy.

At first I thought it was going to be a super light 2 door Prius. Not I'm a bit disappointed.

HSD and the CVT they use is unlike any other currently out there. Mating it with a manual transmission would only reduce efficiency. Although, it would be more fun to drive.
