Look up EvoScan or Mitsulogger. both were developed for mitsu guys to log with but have obdII generic available, and I think both are open source which means you can create almost any formula that you want. I think evoscan has a charge (he has spent a lot more time adding some pretty neat features for us evo guys). You can read up a lot on it at the ecuflash forum of evolutionm.net

I was leaning towards jdash, because of cross platform java base, even had mobile phone plans (via superwaba). But it looks like it is going through a major rewrite currently. I would definately favor something java based though so anyone can use it (maybe python too)

this is free , SpeedTracer graphing software.
it graphs more than fuel economy

but you need to buy AutoEnginuity software to get it .
AutoEnginuity is worth the price though , available as generic or there are enhanced packages for many makes , or Pro Line covers all the available makes and models that are covered .

enhanced versions of AutoEnginuity are way beyond the generic versions and way beyond most of the OBD2 software that is out there.
Mode 6 is well defined for most application and all mode 6 test results fit on one or two pages depending on the system

ATS Escan software will have fuel economy graphing in a later release
for now Escan does a real good job graphing
fuel trim , volumetric efficiency , coolant map , cat converter relative efficiency and Mode 5 and 6
unlike AutoEnginuity
ATS Escan software is OBD2 generic only

yes, i think some obd2 software will be integrated in the mobile APP, like android OS, and android is based on java.

What does the MPG / Inst MPG doing on my Dash? That has to get its' info from the OBD system. The trouble I see with this, in by Cobalt is that it Pegs out a 99 MPG.

How about the Scan-gauge?

Then the old but trusty Vacuum gauge?

Do you really really need it? At what cost? When the need gets big enough, and the market is big enough, it will be made.

elm327

Hey, you can get a cheap bluetooth elm327 (8-10$)scanner and download free Torque software. Go to the main menu and choose "MPG Trim" to replicate closer to the truth.
