actually no, i stay in detroit area so its almost impossible to find a decent honda or toyotas here

insight might be nice but i need a back seat just incase

and the civic vx i was looking at was just sold so i guess im still looking for a car as of today

how about toyota echo 2001 ? is that anygood

I would drive one first. The biggest complaint I have, is the center-mounted speedo, etc. It has a tall stance and lackluster sales -- but it's the platform for the Gen-I Prius. Good FE in manual-trans varieties. Dependable Toyota and all that too...

middle cluster is not that bad since my wifey has scion xa but since you told me that prius I is the same body ill look into prius one then....
looks like i only have to add 1 to 2k more for a prius

I'd get perturbed about those kinds of speedos. I can't look to the right, cause it takes my eyes off the road. Drivers mirror is my favorite (don't tell the passenger side mirror!!!). I can still "see" the road and stuff in front of me while looking at the drivers mirror and speedo. but not to the right.

I think they made the center thing for the shorter drivers to see over the gauge cluster.
