Trying to Stay Solvent with a Pickup

I recently purchased the franchise for a monthly magazine that is distributed free at stores, gas stations, and churches. The cost of transportation will probably sink the enterprise, if anything does. I've been one of those guys who wants to drive as fast as he can without getting a ticket, pass anyone he can who's slowing him down, etc. But that all has to change, and I'm hoping to get some real help from this site in making the switch.

I have a 2000 Ford Ranger, with some kind of eco-engine, which I think means it will run on ethanol and never have decent acceleration. But it's what I have, and I'm going to searching the forum for pickup related tips. I've edited my own copy of the "105 Tips" down to the 52 that seem practical to me. My ScanGauge II is on order, and I'll soon be ready to go... slowly and steadily.

Good luck with that flex fuel truck, I sold mine in March. Old EPA was 18 and 24, Always wondered why I got 16-17 combined then lo and behold new epa is 15 city.I don't know if you have capital but have you considered getting one of those tiny little mitsubishi trucks? I'm not talking about the mighty max, I mean like 4 feet wide don't remember what they are called.Hmmm. I think I just figured out what my first EV project is gonna be. Welcome to the site, there are a lot of people here that can help maximize your fuel economy.

Zen meditaion, or chlordiazepoxide HCI. Either one works. The Zen costs less.
