Hello Everyone Im the newest kid on the block, having just found out about this site recently in on of my automobile magazines. I drive a 2007 Toyota Rav4, with a V6 and 2wd. I have been recording my mileage with every fillup since the day I drove it home from the dealer, and my overall average to date has been 25MPG. My best mileage was 29MPG, and my worse was 23MPG. I drive with a lite foot, antisipate stops and coasting as much as possible without being killed. Most drivers today are in such a hurry, you really have to be aware of your surroundings or you ll end up in big trouble.
I am a truck driver by trade, (yes, I drive those big, evil, soot belching, diesel guzzling rigs that everyone loves to hate LOL), but it pays my bills and puts beans on my table. In my down time, I enjoy music, cooking barbeque, and tinkering in the garage.

Welcome to the forum, dtown40.

There are a couple of other big rig drivers participating here - even trying to stretch their work mileage.

Enter your vehicle in the garage and start up a fuel log, if you feel like it.

PS - I'm curious too - which magazine?

I read about this site in Automobile Magazine (the June issue). There is a story about a hypermileing experiment they did with an Infiniti M45X, a BMW M3, and finally a GMC Yukon. Each driver shares his experiance of the challenge, and one of them mentions using information he got from this site. I found the story to be interesting and funny at the same time. You might want to check it out.
