What a joke!
HP2g Skip Fire™ Cylinder Exclusive Variable Displacement
What it is - The HP2g Skip Fire™ is an engine management system capable of operating an engine on any number of cylinders upon demand and from the maximum number down to one. Rotating the firing cylinder to saves wear. The Skip Fire can change the fuel economy in targeted vehicles, thereby reducing fuel costs by 33%. In test Semi (over the road loaded) it averaged 10.44mpg with Skip Fire and 6.39mpg without.
How it works – The HP2g Skip Fire™ - Variable Displacement shuts off fuel to cylinders and rotates the cylinders of fire. This can go down to as low as 1 cylinder (after normal engine operation temperature). The engine is still opening and closing the valves bringing in cool outside air which is introduced to a HOT CYLINDER. This allows the air to expand pushing the piston = STIRLING ENGINE effect (from 1816)
Competitive Advantages – The HP2g Skip Fire™ system is far advanced from the variable displacement systems currently manufactured by the world’s OEMs, (which only operate to shut down half of an engine’s cylinders always in the same firing position (in the automotive market only)). The current systems also fall short of the fuel savings and emissions reductions offered with the Skip Fire. The Skip Fire has the ability to be updated and serviced at a shop or at home via a laptop computer through the internet. The Skip Fire application is unparalleled in the automotive & transportation world.
