Nissan Altima- easy mod

Hey gang- Driving around my beater Altima, & being a twin cam it's geared for performance (lol) instead of mpg.
So I'm figuring what I can do to streamline it, I noticed it has a gaping lower air dam / area which becomes a big parachute for drag.
Mocked up a template out of some coroplast, then used some leftover Celotex foam board out of the garage ($20 at lowes for a 4x8 ft sheet).
Shoved it into place, & voila'.
If I had a full sheet I would have used the back (black) side in an area of all black, but there was yellow print on what I had left so I'll use the silver side.
Cheap, easy & there's plenty of area in the upper grill to keep temps down.

Looks good!

A bit of spray paint can turn it black pretty quick.

I know, but I've painted numerous times on the covers I have for my Cummins, & this is what happens within 3 months.....

The altima is my beater, so I'm not too worried about it :-)

I've used builders paper, which is a thick plastic used under concrete slabs (think really thick garbage bag). Wrap your white grill block and it will be black for years. It can also be heat shrunk to get it all smooth.

How about marine or actual shrink wrap? Members had talked about doing this, so I gave it a try: http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...ock-25986.html

It must be bad when ecomodders bully you for aesthetics...

This member used nylon:

What about duct-taping a black garbage bag to it?

(For either vehicle)
