Tank Report
2009-06-18
436.7 mi.
8.012 US gal
$2.639 fuel cost

54.51 mpg based on fillup and odometer

Scangauge Report, Tank
51.7 mpg
30 mph avg
7.7 hrs to empty
14.2 hrs
232 miles to empty
438 miles
4.5 gal tank to empty
8.46 gal tank

2974 odo
436.7 trip

reduced fuel adjustment to 5.4%

Lots of good hypermiling on this tank, not much fast driving. I would have run the tank to well over 600 miles, but I am getting ready for a trip and need a full tank.

I connected an LED with a series resistor to the fan side of my fan relay, and stuck it in my dashboard. when my fan kicks in, it lights up. Being hooked up to the fan side, it also lights up dimly when wind makes the fan spin due to highway speeds. I have a 02 Civic Si, and in warm weather, it doesn't like any grille blocking. The fan comes on too much. Without grille block, in the summer as long as I dont get stuck in traffic, the fan never comes on.

cant wait to see what you get on the trip at highway speeds.. were strongly considering this car.. and I know the EPA is way off for a "slow driver" under 60 and not racing to lights.

I am sorry to report that the boattail self destructed and no longer exists. I was on my way north and was doing about 85mph while passing a truck. There was a big bang and the tail disappeared onto the shoulder. It was gone except wires dragging on the ground. I went back to look for it and found a few pieces of debris along the road.

I just came back from a trip to James Bay, and have some fuel records, but I am missing some records. I don't think I will enter this into the fuel log until I can figure out why I am getting such strange results. It is possible that I failed to record a fillup or two, or that there are some math errors.
