No Country for Old Men

so, this isn't exactly a soap-box type thing, except that it is....
Has anyone else seen this movie?
Opinions?

I ,personally, think it's one of the best movies I've ever seen. I think this movie will be held up as a shining example of the technical aspects that go into making a suspense/thriller movie. That and it combines the Bleakness of "Requiem for a Dream" with the witty crime-drama of "Fargo." Top it all off with Javier Bardem's Anton Chiguarh as the creepiest villain since Hannibal Lecter and you've got yourself 2 hours of breathless viewing pleasure that will stick with you for days, if not weeks, or months, or...

This movie makes me want to go buy a pair of cowboy boots. I don't know if I can give a stronger recommendation than that.
Oh, and if I ever come home to see a missing core on a door lock I'm probably gonna need a new pair of pants.

I give it five turtles

Wow - 5 turtles.

I haven't seen it, but the one review (now two) I'd seen was really positive.

It's practically off the charts at Metacritic with a 91 rating:

I like Metacritic.

Yeah, judging from the metacritic reviews (especially the user-submitted reviews) it's really a love-it-or-hate-it kind of movie.
And Metacritic.com is super-awesome. I find that it's a bit more accurate than rottentomatoes.com in predicting my preferences at least.

We have been trying to see it since it opened and have yet to find the time. Maybe this weekend. I love the Coen brothers. Thanks for the review and reminder.

I guess I fall into the Hate-it crowd. Based on the reviews of this film and how much I liked the previous Coen brother films I was disappointed. Excellent performances, the story is suspenseful and very thought provoking but the ending is a huge letdown. This would have been a better film had the ending been better. I guess I need to read the book, it's probably true to it's author. I give it

you'd better have a nice surround sound system. The sound mixing/editing and use of sound is probably one of the best parts of the movie.

Wow - It has already risen in the ranks at IMDb to #16 of all time. Looking forward to this. To date I haven't seen a Coen Brothers film and not liked it.
