NOAA global CO2 average had passed the critical 400 ppm mark

Global mean surface temperature drastically took a turn in the last two years, it started at the beginning of the 20th century, caused the Arctic Northwest Passage to open up and Earth CO2 had crossed the critical 400 ppm tipping point, not a temporary blip. US space agency NASA announced that August 2016 had tied with July 2016 as the hottest month globally ever recorded. Our world is heating up dramatically and will continue at our current emission production levels.

...we will be wearing 'spacesuits' on Earth in the future.

The 'extension cord' for the EV-version of that Terra Suit might prove problematic.

I always figured the extra ppm in CO2 would throw respiration off and that would be a bigger issue than a few degrees of temperature rise. Our bodies are easily capable of shedding heat, but programmed to expect a certain concentration of CO2 when breathing. I wonder at what concentration of CO2 it begins to impact breathing?

Based on physiology, the average adult with normal blood pressure would not be able to rid their body of CO2 if the CO2 concentration in the air rises to 6% (60,000 ppm). The analysis of accidents shows that a 10% atmospheric concentration is fatal after a few minutes. 30% is fatal almost instantly. [see this]
Old tests show that air seems stuffy at about 1% CO2, and respiration rate increases. At 3% there is definite impairment in cognition, panting, sweating, increased blood pressure, headache, tinnitus and other symptoms. [chart here]
In recent tests of workers in "green" buildings decision making tests scores were lower when building levels exceeded about 1000 ppm [here and here]
Maybe some people are impaired at 400 ppm.

Plant lots more trees!

The the earth is still coming out of the last ice age; so there is a lot of warming yet to go. Too many persons, cows, and cars.

Just in six months, this year!

In our lifetime, the Arctic will be easily navigable. That's not exactly good but disastrous. https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media...rzxvvqd3is.gif

This was obvious to those with their eyes open, back in the 1970s. Archigram:

Why has it taken so long?

For a giant cruise ship, the Northwest Passage is nearly ice-free
