I have to granny drive the crap out of my mustang to get much better than 14. A more realistic figure, were I to drive with the flow of traffic, etc. is 13ish.

The Smog pump seized on me so it's been parked until 2 days ago. All I did was buy another belt and bypass the smog pump. The insight is #1 on my list of things to to (still have about 500$ in repairs, and another 650 for IMAC&C and OBDIIC&C). Then comes work on the Mustang.

Final trip MPG. Beat the old trip by 5.5MPG (69.5 is best last trip). I probably would have gotten 76-77 but, I hit rain coming back up and climbing 6% grade with rain = slaughter MPG.

I feel a bit better now, sounds like we're pretty close to even. Which is impressive considering you're missing some panels and such.

On flat level ground, doing 55-65 (prob. average ~63) and with careful driving I managed 77 over a 700 mile tank. It'd be nice if I had a large downhill area to rack up huge numbers like that. Coming down from Nevada into Cali near 80 I managed over 40 in my sister's Avalon, but I was basically just idling down the mountain roads. I don't think Toyota's automatic transmissions do engine braking.

The last time I was out of state I rolled from the top of the Siskiyou Pass to the first exit to Ashland (11 miles!) with the engine off. My best tank was in Nevada, though.
