It was a fun event!
It took WAY too far for me to drive down there. It should have taken 2.5 hours drive, and it took FOUR!
The last hour of driving was just the last 6 miles of coming into Chicago!
I was only really finally there and all setup about 15 minutes before the show started.
I hadn't eaten since 10 in the morning. After my segment, I went to get a taco, then I had to take questions (which they didn't tell me about) and then they also called me back onto stage while I was eating!
So, my greatest fear is that I look like my face was constantly stuffed with tacos for an hour, when it was only ONE taco, and I was SOOO hungry!!!!
The other Instructables authors there were all cool. I liked the needle-felted T-Rex. Adorable!
I also hacked together a Choco-Taco. For food at the event, they had a Qdoba taco bar, and ice cream by Pinkberry. I combined elements from both, along with a Sterno, to created a toasted peanut-butter chocolate desert! Yum!
