I usually say the solution to pollution is dilution but I guess hiding it works even better.

In the US ford 6.7L diesel pickup trucks have DPF and they run B20.
The ford DPF burn off looks just as inefficient as all the others.

The problem is some times our government thinks every idea is a good idea even when said ideas interfere with each other or counteract each others effect.
Ether that or they want diesel fuel users to buy more gallons of fuel taxed at a rate of around 50 cents or more per gallon.

Bureaucrats seem to be unable to think logically regarding technical aspects, but they know how to hunt for more taxes...
