Over unity with capacitors

In the 1990s a friend said to me that [redactd] ws the biggest question and I said, "No, it's what keeps UFOs up in the air".

thedebrief.org: NASA VETERAN’S PROPELLANTLESS PROPULSION DRIVE THAT PHYSICS SAYS SHOULDN’T WORK JUST PRODUCED ENOUGH THRUST TO OVERCOME EARTH’S GRAVITY (CHRISTOPHER PLAIN·APRIL 19, 2024)

Quote:
Dr. Charles Buhler, a NASA engineer and the co-founder of Exodus Propulsion Technologies, has revealed that his company’s propellantless propulsion drive, which appears to defy the known laws of physics, has produced enough thrust to counteract Earth’s gravity.
....
Another unusual result from their tests was that sometimes the tested devices did not require a constant input of electrical charge to maintain their thrust. Given that the device already appears to violate the known laws of physics by creating thrust without propellant, this result even stumped Dr. Buhler and his team.
....
“You can’t deny this,” he told Ventura. “There’s not a lot to this. You’re just charging up Teflon, copper tape, and foam, and you have this thrust.”
....
“It’s easy to make these things,” he said, “so it’s a tool for the scientific community to use to try to explore those hard questions.”

As far as his own thoughts about the nature of the force his team has uncovered, the refreshingly honest NASA veteran demurred, saying only that he believes scientists besides himself are in the perfect position to test and study their results and to come up with the answers.

“It’s going to take a physicist much smarter than me to come up with all of that,” Dr. Buhler quipped.
Currently, it would lift [only] itself by it's own bootstraps in a vacuum. That's short of hauling freight.

No one cares about thrust in space? How about a "perfect electric motor"?

The big innovations seem to be replacing slip rings with inductive power transfer, and cooling with a dielectric oil introduced through the hollow shaft.

That's a wierd thing I'm having trouble understanding!?

I get the:
"Unless I can buy the bits easily and put them together with nothing more than a screwdriver; I'm not interested because the tech does not directly apply to me"

But what I don't get is: when a new technology IS easy to acquire and apply:
"Someone else... No; EVERYONE else must do it 1st before I will believe it and try it"
(Makes me wish we could go back and laugh at the inevitable mistrust of The Wheel when it 1st came out!)

There seems to be a deep mistrust of any/all new scientific research..?
That mistrust seems to be a new thing as the inventors and innovators of old were revered and followed by 'The News' and 'Big News!' until very recently.
eg:
Everyone was there to see the 1st electric lights in New York come on, whereas that kind of thing doesn't even make 'The News' nowadays!?

I get that weirdly; no-one likes people cleverer than themselves
(makes them feel stupid, without a thought on how stupid it is to think that way)
but there seems to have been a hugely successful 'campaign' by the media to 'make little of science'..???
Maybe it's a case of:
"If we can make the inventor/s believe they've achieved nothing; we can have the tech for nothing and feel 'clever' (again) by doing so!"?

This science points to a breakthrough in space exploration and man's ability to colonize other planets, enabling humanity to survive global catastrophes that would otherwise end us.
More directly or applicably; it hints at way more 'aero' wheel-les transport!

I'd say the best thing to do is get oneself onto any colony ship and TF away from all the stupid negativity and mistrust here!?

I guess it's a matter of perspective. You see people as close-minded, I see them as somnambulant. A distinction without a difference.

And I belive in Antiquitech.

"Antiquitech" is a blanket term to describe old lost technology relating to atmospheric electricity. Many of these devices either harness or use this energy. How is atmospheric electricity harnessed? Electricity is running through the air around you right now. The higher elevation you are, the more electricity is
Anywho, I'm proud of the fact that entrepreneurs came down the Oregon Trail to Willamette Falls in Oregon City and sent hydroelectric power to Portland for it's street cars and lights before Tesla wired Niagra Falls.

Back to diodicity?

Toward the end he prefigures a sand battery.

This is fascinating—if their findings hold up under scrutiny, it could change our entire understanding of propulsion. A system generating thrust without propellant sounds like science fiction, but breakthroughs often start with things that challenge existing models. It’s exciting to see scientists openly encouraging further testing instead of claiming they have all the answers.
