P07 or P08 ECU for Japanese VTEC-E?

Thanks for the answers to my "VX engine not performing", my engine is a Japanese VTEC-E (D15B block & P07 heads). I know I have the wrong exhaust manifold (4 into 2), and 4 wire O2 sensor. Now I need to know about the ECU, I have a P08, it seems from everything I read yesterday that I should have a P07, can anyone confirm that? I really want to get the great mileage this engine's known for, but I need the right parts because I'm not getting great mileage now!

I used a p07 with my japanese import d15z1. Dunno about the p08, but the p07 worked for me.

Try posting question here too, you might get more response as honda ECU is all they know .
So your engine is one with only 1 intake valve opens till 2500 rpm them both intake work ,all 4 valves work per cylinder .

Thanks for the Hondata site but I couldn't answer their trivia/anti-spam question! Anyway now I have the P07 ECU, but I can't find an original exhaust manifold but I think I'll modify a regular 4 into 1. Also they blanked off the EGR valve and I think I should put it back.
All o dat, soon come, mon!

the biggest thing thats going to kill your mpgs is not having the correct wideband with that ecu. you might have to rewire from the o2 sensor to the ecu if its not an original vx wiring harness. If that o2 sensor is not the wideband or wired correctly i'm pretty sure lean burn won't work.. so it will get the same gas mileage as the non lean burn models....
