Just filled up the stang for 3.39 a gallon. Gas seems to have stopped going down though, sadly.

Missed out on €1.28 diesel, filled up at €1.298 this morning. ($6.10/gallon)

Going back up already?

wahoo! Gas dropped another 10 cents, I filled my whole (puny) tank with 11 gallons of 3.19 fuel

Hoping I caught the bottom. Well, I suppose buying oil futures or an oil futures fund would be a better way to speculate than filling the gas tank but it's all good fun.

Yep, the local Costco has been stuck @ 2.57 for 2 weeks now. Looks like 1.99 is not gonna happen.

Diesel bottomed out at 1.28, but I missed it, so yesterday I refueld at 1.298 ($6.10/gallon)

The real question is, is it going up again, or staying like this for a while?

Dunno if the government over there would just steal most of your profit considering your insane taxes but maybe buy some oil fund? Think of it as locking in the current price with however much money you invest.

The gouverment wont do anything because of their gain. But alot of gasstation owners are saperating from the big gas firms. And buying internationally to get rid of their stanglehold contracts en give the people a bit cheaper gas.

It seems you need a lot of money for that though, looking at minimum buy-ins of many thousands of dollars.

Theres different options for investing with small amounts of money, but lots of those trading things look like plain gambling to me.

When I checked a week ago, the Costo near me had the lowest price in the area at $2.59. Right now PhoenixGasPrices.com shows them at $2.57, with three other stations at the same price.

I forget what happened, I believe that I slept through an alarm when I had an appointment at the VA, so I was running late, and was afraid that I was going to run out of gas. I went to the closest gas station and filled up immediately afterward. I have nineteen days to use my fifty-cent discount at the local supermarket and I honestly wonder if I will have much use for it.
