Plastic Material for grill blocks, belly pans, and wheel skirts?
Went to lowes a couple days ago looking for cloroplast which they have, but is really small sizes. I did come across a 4x8 plastic panel that seemed like it might work well. One side is ruff, and the other is very smooth.
I think what I found is one of the two following links, either one looks like it might work out well. Does anyone have experience with this material at all?
This is probably it, since it felt like plastic and was easy to bend. Says $17.41 online, but I think the price in the store was $25-35 for what I looked at.
Shop Parkland Plastics .06" x 4' x 8' Bright White Plastic Wall Panel at Lowes.com
Shop Sequentia 0.090"D x 4'W x 8'H White FRP Wall Panel at Lowes.com
I plan to use this material for wheel skirts, lower grill block (adjustable maybe later), and possibley part of the belly pan. I suspect it has a low melt temp so I have to be careful where I use it.

I have no experience with using it on a car. I don't see why it wouldn't work though. It won't be as light as coroplast, but in the amounts you're using its not a huge issue.

Thanks for the input, I think I'll buy a sheet or 2 of it and see what I can do. Won't have much time or luck working on mods since it is snowing quite a bit currently and am on a 8 day stright shift at work. Hope it works well for what I need it for .

Yeah lowes has little 2'x3' peices of coroplast. Might be good to finish off a project or for repair.
I have found a sign shop where I am but have not stopped by yet.

The ones I picked up were 30 inch by 36 inch, basicaly 2'x3'. I asked the service manager if I could get a discount for buying 10 and he was able to get it down $0.40 each, woot saved $4 .
Total was $80ish, kind of high, but should be enough for most of my planned mods with a little to spare.

White 4'x8' sheets of coroplast
for 14.00 plus tax and black (or any of their colored 4'x8' sheets) for 20 plus tax. I got to know the sign shop owner over time. 3 blocks from home....no shipping.

Your teasing me >,< lol.
I paid ~$1.07 /sq ft and you paid around $0.46 /sq ft. Yours is only 43% of the price I paid and got it in large 4x8 sheets .
Oh well, I have it and it will work

If the sheet plastic spans much distance at all it cam be prone to flexing, cracking and ultimate failure if not beefed up with some sort of reinforcement.
Carbon-fiber epoxy arrow shaft is probably the lightest material used for such things.Use your imagination.
