I was thinking that most of the modders on here would be younger. Here's the reason they have more time to be on the computer, ie fewer have kids or wives.

There are probably more older modders not on the computer at all.

I am glad to see old farts on here, after all, it takes years of experience to come up with some really good stupid ideas.

Maybe we can talk some of the younger ones into stuff that would be to dangerous for us. Remember you heal faster when your younger.

Of course you can replace the bumper with a high pressure hydrogen fuel cell boosted with a liquid oxygen tank, excellent idea! Wish I had time for that myself, but you know family commitments and all.

You may be right about the kids having more time than most people on here but as for myself i find that since i retired i have all the time in the world to spend on the computer. (I used to have a dishwasher - but she divorced me) all my kids are grown with family's of their own.
If it is too cold or too hot or i just don't feel like going anywhere i spend about all my time on line. (I love being retired) - If i feel creative i build things in autocad (sometimes i even take the plans out to the shop and make the parts) - about the only thing that slows me down is my physical condition, if i go work for a couple of hours i have to rest 3 or 4 to recover. But then i don't have anything else that i have to do <vbg>

Good thing I answered this poll now instead of in one month - I'll enter the 30s bracket by then.

I am 42. I think that you will find that the older people are, the less likely that they are to be using the internet. The older generations are less likely to be hanging out online. I know that there are the occaisional oddballs, but there are a lot more younger people online than there are old people online.

There are also a lot of older people who have been hypermiling for years that would never think to look for a site like this even if they had a computer.

Later,

Allan Greenblazer

Liquid rocket propelled car eh?

I think someone won a darwin award for something like that. Crashed into a cliff 300meters above the road after flying 7 miles, with a rocket booster on the roof of his car. Granted, you can't shut off solid rockets like the one he used... liquid is so much safer.
