Well, it's not likely that anyone would gain 10% just with wheels and tyres, so it's not likely that I'd lose it either.

Anyway, more changes to come will be thinner tyres (to return to 185 width) and taller instead (60).
Also, the tyres were generic crap-o-tyres before, and crap-o-tyres now, so LRR tyres are on the wishlist!

I agree however that these wheels are heavier, and less aerodynamic. I prefer the look of these though, so I'm willing to compromise

when i changed tires on my vw lupo from 185/55 R14 to 155/65 R14 my fuel consumtion droped from 3,8 to 3,5 l/100 km

I've now performed a mufflerectomy on the car to free up some exhaust flow and also save a bit of weight. I've welded a straight steel pipe on instead of the restrictive rear exhaust silencer. It's a bit noisier, but combined with the remap I'm doing it will help keep exhaust temperatures down. Here's a video of how it sounds:
