I like the two faced design. One person can keep an eye on the traffic from behind, or watching a child in the small trailer. The problem with a side by side bike is it is too wide for many trails or roads.

The info plate on the motor is to worn to read, so have been searching online for the electrical components ratings on the golf cart. With no luck. Also emailed ez go haven't heard anything back. So, the search goes on.

The motor on the one I am working on is on the cyclone website in my last post. it is a 48V 1200W with integral gearbox, and is enough to take it up hills at 25km/hr. I think it will do more, but it gets dangerously unstable at higher speeds. At present the gearing is all wrong, in the lowest speed gear (biggest sproket on the back wheel) it is geared for 38 km/hr, on the highest it is 77km/hr. So the electric drive is geared to be efficient at speeds it cannot attain.
I have just repaired the rear axel, it had been turning in the bearings and had worn the shaft so that there was 2mm play. Now I need to sort the gearing out.
Do you have any pictures of your one?

My project is still on the drawing board, don't have pictures to post yet. But, will be documenting and photographing each step. Here are a couple of links for Horseless Carriage designs. Mine will be smaller, lighter with a different body design. They kind of give an idea what the plan is.
