It's heating oil in an above ground tank, no meters on it. Although I may be able to find a flow meter for it...

Above ground tank? Outdoors? If so you may want to consider buying 'blend' so it doesn't gel up on you in really cold weather. It's heating oil mixed with 10-20% kerosene.
