But
it appears they try to match the wheel speed to the wind speed

On a side note:

I would like to have the i3's tires and rims, my next tire change I am going to buy some skinny rims for my fat rimmed Beetle that stock has 7.5" wide rims.
I would like 4.5" width rims.

Closeups of his pants cuffs? Closeups of the tip of the wand? Obviously after they spent all that money the strings attached stand in our way.

Doesn't the i3 use Bridgestone Ecopias? The same tire I want to mount on 19" Model A Ford wire wheels? Would you get your hubs re-drilled or does your bolt pattern match the i3?

That Studebaker looks sweet ,the Music is pretty upbeat ! not sleep inducing at all..

I don't want the i3's rims per say, just a set of narrow rims like or similar to the ones the i3 uses. I checked up on the specs to see what rim tire combo was - they are 19" tall 5" wide.

front : 155/70 R19
rear : 155/70 R19
Wheel : 5Jx19

My car comes stock with 7 - 7.5" wide 16" tall rims but some people put 18" rims on the car.
I want a cheap set of steel rims 16 to 17" and 4.5" width if i can find them.
I will make my own hubcap for them, regardless , so no need for a fancy rim but if I came along a set that did fit , I would buy them !

I stood next to that one.

A real artist with the smoke wand. I'm thinking flourescent green smoke and the old artist aphorism "Light shows, but shadow explains". I'm semi-serious; think of pictures of the shadows under clouds—from space.

Why? When 19x4 are [early Ford] swap meet parts.

freebeard I'm intrigued on those wheels

I am going to check them for compatibility/ hub and wheel well.

If they fit WoW , that will be sweet, my gearing will be lower and RR down.

These numbers are embarrassing by today's standards.

C4 Corvette Overview - "The Arrival Of A Future 'King'" - C4 Corvette - www.corvsport.com

Quote:
Perhaps, though, the greatest example of “form follows function” was that of General Motor’s boastful claim that the C4 Corvette was (at least partially) shaped and designed inside of a wind tunnel. Due to extensive wind-tunnel testing, the new Corvette achieved a much lower drag coefficient than its predecessors. With a drag coefficient number (Cd) number of just 0.34, the C4 Corvette showed a 23.7 percent reduction in drag when compared to the 1982 Corvette (whose Cd number was 0.44). In the end, the new Corvette’s aerodynamic appearance was genuine.
