He was going off-topic in a fog-light mounting thread, nearly as I can tell.

The three parts tested were the stock vent, the one with the added spoiler and one with a wickerbill. The one in the middle (that I reposted) had the reversed flow.

I've stopped caring, too.

Did you read the part about him doing a video of the tuft test ?
Was this supposed to be a driving test ? I guess not.

One of my favorites, 1952 Buick Riviera " Bombshell Betty " at speed .

Is it just me, or does the dust seem to be angled downward at just the right angle ?
It would appear that despite the lack of any rear glass, and overly rounded rear, the car has some good flow back there.
I would have guessed that the separation line on the trunk / boot would have been much higher.

Here is an image which shows the missing glass at the rear of the car :

Just speculation, but would you guys think that the lack of a back window causes a low pressure zone at the rear of the car, and that this is causing the airflow to conform to the ideal shape ?

Here is a really low res image I found on his Fbook site that shows more of the wake.

I enhanced it for clarity, and you can see how good the flow is back there :

One of my favorites, too. I've stood right next to it.

Bombshell Betty

In the 'at-speed' image,I'm seeing a reflection from a backlight which doesn't show in the other photo.
As far as the separation line goes,I suspect that the tangent angle at that location is very close to 22-degrees.

If so. then there is another one above thw windshield header.

I think the low separation results from the side skirts and de-fuss-er doing a good job.

I think your are right in both of your posts.

It's acting like a half bed pick-up truck tonneau cover.
