More than once, I've mapped out a house's circuits, and then just moved a wire in the main box to cure a frequently tripped breaker. In an old house, usage is often very uneven.

I just added a consistent second carpool member to my commute (third occupant). Weather has been good this last week but I'm not seeing a big difference or drop in MPG. The commute is 98% highway miles. I think weight makes a difference in stop and go situations. I'm still working out where to pick them up for ease and efficiency. One member I drive to his house but it isn't bad cause I get a lot of coasting with that diversion. My last tank was 66.83MPG with both members riding 4 out of 5 days with me.

What is that....200.49 MPG man miles?

Edit: Oh by the way....I don't pay for gasoline any more for my work commute. The members split it. I cover all of the car costs and driving dicipline (maintenance, insurance, etc.)

On my daily comute I pass a park and ride park each day - it is dealing with people going into the city, I'm heading in the other direction.

In a fit of "we must protect the commuter and the bus" Midlothian council decided to install lights which react to vehicles exiting the park and ride site. They stop traffic heading into the city so buses can get out.

Except they also stop traffic heading out of the city when the bus is heading in the other direction.

And its random, not a 'timeable' light so I lose FE.

Muppets.

Interesting.... I've been carpooling off/on for several years. Previous job thing went well, carpooled with 2nd line boss ~30miles each way. Being late or leaving early was never an issue.. Did that for 5 years. Current job I drive 10miles to persons house that is literally 'on the way' and either pick him up or ride with him for the last 20 miles...

Now the interesting part. This guy drives crazy, he's all over the place yo-yo driver. Never signals, etc... So now i'm thinking more about what would happen to my insurance if an accident happened while HE was riding with me.. I have no doubt he'd try to sue me... Just another aspect to carpooling... I wish the bus ran where I needed to go..
