I'm looking at building/converting an EV in about a year from now, and I was wondering if there's any recommended books or websites about the process y'all would recommend. I am comfortable working with my hands and using tools, and my knowledge of electric circuits is a bit lack-luster, so I'm looking for stuff that goes from general concepts all the way up to step-by-step with pictures.

Hello and welcome to the site.

I'd recommend reading the gigantic threads here on the three cheap EV conversions: It’s a Trend! 3 Dirt Cheap DIY Electric Cars | Hypermiling, Fuel Economy, and EcoModding News - EcoModder.com

They all pretty much walk you through the entire conversion process.
