Removed passenger mirror, but worried about vision

To compensate for not having my right side mirror, I got an 18" rearview mirror. It's curved(convex?) and it improved my field of view by at least 50%. But it really messing with my eyes! Having everything so curved is REALLY annoying and I'm afraid that it's going to cause me to misjudge something and get into a crash.

The mirror delete is a 1-2 mpg gain, I believe, and I'm not going to put it back on, but I can't decide to return my new clip on rearview mirror and use my 8-9 inch one, or to do something else...

Any suggestions are welcome, just be aware I don't have a lot of money to spend on an expensive panoramic rearview mirror(like that 5-panel one that costs $100+)

You might be able to buy an additional interior rearview mirror from a scrapyard and glue it besides the existing one. Then you could adjust your mirrors to see on each side.

Just a suggestion.

I returned my convex mirror and exchanged it for slightly more expensive flat one. You really don't want your eyes messed with. Besides I think the law in most places will probably want you to have a flat "one-to-one ratio" main mirror.

Some people are putting a passenger side interior mirror. Others are putting in multi-panel mirrors on the windshield. race cars use "blink" mirrirs or "wink"... something like that.

I use these on my golf carts and even installed one in my buddy's Del Sol.

I have let people borrow my convex mirrors and gotten similar feedback. From my POV, every mirror change for me has required an "acclimatization period". I like the convex shape because I now have more information than I could have had otherwise. But, the smaller and/or convex mirrors require a "distance adjustment" for me. Also, depending on the context, I still turn my head to verify my lane changes.

The part I don't like is not being able to see the curb when I parallel park. I used to have that when I had a fish-eye mirror on my old side views.

Here's my current Configuration. This is my driver's side mirror mounted on a motorcycle stock (outside mirror for legal purposes) :

The 17" convex rear-view mirror is my rear-view HQ, and the interior side-view mirrors are my "just before lane change" confirmation mirrors.

Ok, well I just returned the 18" convex mirror and got my $10ish back. Now I'm done with a quick fix at a local auto parts(advance auto parts doesn't sell any flat mirrors over 10")and I'm going to check out some online stuff.
