MS, TN, and AL, all just one capable of seeing behind (rear view okay). I do have an interior side mirror for blind spot safety also. Drove through 8 states last month, no problems. Your tickets may vary.

I don't consider deleting the mirrors so reasonable. You have better options such as replacing the stock mirrors for the ones out of some random sports motorcycle due to their smaller and more aerodynamic fairings, and you can eventually replace their lenses for convex ones.

I've been pulled over once for having no outside mirror. No ticket, the cop was happy enough with the little convex mirror I have on the inside of the door. Technically not legal in NY, but I guess he didn't know that.
