My landline phone/net service was terrible and they were unwilling/unable to fix it AND there was going to be another rate increase! NOPE. Besides, the only calls I got were from Rachel at Card Services and for car warranties- don't miss that, although terrorizing the scammers was amusing.
P.S. No cell phone either. Sometimes handy but not worth the cost to me.

My land line plus DSL costs about as much as Starlink. Maybe that's what you need.

No phone/internet sounds idyllic and nightmarish at the same time. Perhaps unfortunately, I couldn't function at any of my jobs without having access to phone, Zoom, etc., let alone staying connected with family that's spread out across the country.
