Good point. Mom asked if I requested a confirmation be mailed. I just got off the phone before I yelled "Why didn't you answer the phone all of the other times I called, or responded to my e-mail?!"

You sure insurance is actually checked via computer? Seems they just look at the paper and accept that as sufficient evidence of insurance.

Shall I ask the next time I am pulled over?

There were articles posted four years ago that the police could run your plates and see if you had insurance, but like many older stories that intrigued me, I could not find any follow-up.

That got me a lecture from the highway patrol.

They cited me for not having a current proof of insurance. I need to set a reminder. I had not realized it was out-of-date. I handed him my last card and he said he could not use it.

Another officer here in Arizona told me he could use my old card. Yet another time, while I was looking for my card, the officer asked who my provider was, and then said he believed me.

Was he allowed to believe me?! Wasn't that against regulation?!

Arguably, I am doing something wrong, being stopped three times in four months on the same stretch of the I-40, but this officer said that as long as I can show I am currently insured, they should dismiss the charges.

This page says they will, which is good, because it is a $950 fine: http://courts.yavapai.us/Portals/5/F...e-Schedule.pdf

Keep your insurance documents updated, people!
Officers may use their own discretion on minor offenses. Also over taking on the right is a BAD thing to do, you're not supposed to do it. But in America, it's not a traffic violation. Almost all of Europe doing so will get you a huge ticket if you're caught.

In Europe the left lane is not the fast lane, it is the passing lane, and they will cite you for staying there.

Where the heck was the post about implanting Tesla accessories?

I know that I saw a post with a picture of something a woman had implanted in herself--twice. There was not context, so I skipped it.

I rarely check for Recent Posts, I just check for notifications.
I went through the last fifteen notifications and did not see anything relevant, so I clicked on Recent Pics, and it showed the meme I posted in #4.

If that shows up as a recent picture then I do not believe it is operating within specified parameters.

Anyway, Shouty mentioned this, so I guess he kindly, but loudly, provided the context.

Shouty, where was that picture posted?

Okay, after a very strange search down Google Images lane I found this:

Unfortunately, Google Image reverse search has not worked for me in weeks. "For matching images, try search by image." Clicking on that takes me to the Google Image main page.

Tineye does not show anything, either.
