I knew this ex Marine from 1986 until his passing in February. My brother told me today. In 15 years of our interactions we became friends of the type that last a lifetime. Even after selling my shop I would stop by and use his glass bead blaster to cleanup parts. The last one were on my 1965 Honda 50. I alwasy left them some lunch money as a token of my appreciation.
He was a big man and a biker and the kind of person who would drag you out of a real mess and not many would even think of trying to stop him. I'd bet his ring size was at least a 16, mighty strong hands.
I sent him a lot of work and NEVER heard anyone who regretted the reference, including every piece of radiator work he ever did for me.
Semper FI dear friend, I can hardly believe you went first.
This one hurts.
