Rolls Royce EV

BBC News - Rolls-Royce launches electric car at Geneva motor show

An electric car for the mega-rich.

I do like the inductive pad under the car, so you won't be bothered with having to plug the car in at night.

Unless your butler could do that for you

The inductive pad is a neat idea. I have no idea how efficient this kind of inductive charging is, though.

If it was mainstream enough, then maybe it would be possible to install charging mats at intersections, so that you could charge for 20-90 seconds while waiting for the light to change.

Rather inefficient.
The field weakens with distance, and so does the efficiency of the charging process.

It's adding yet another loss-factor to the entire process.

Hmmm... adjustable suspension so that the car 'sits' on the pad while at the stop light...
