How much does running the AC cost compared to driving with a bag of ice in your lap? ![Big Grin](/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Switching the A/C on and off like this might possibly wear out the magnetic clutch faster. I expect they are rated for so many million on/off cycles.

Pretty sure the clutch cycles on its own.

I doubt my wife would like it if I do.
I gladly sacrifice economy on this account. ![Stick Out Tongue](/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif)

Right! Passengers! You would need to provide a bag of ice for everybody!
Oh boy. Only our special needs school buses had air conditioning and those did not blow very cold, but that seemed to be more a problem for the driver than the passengers. It was interesting to pour sweat while responsible for the safety of everyone inside my vehicle and anywhere near it.
Providing fifty-five bags of ice would have worked poorly.

Ah, I was thinking about the physical implications of having a bag of ice there...
Whoopsee.
