To be honest, I don’t think 4” is enough to match the template but I don’t know for sure whether or not it’ll help... I didn’t figure that any longer an extension would hold itself up, and would have required more brackets/gussets... however so far I hadn’t discovered any big difference between with the extension and without

If it extends aft of the bumper, problems increase. If you can back into a post and the bumper touches first, I'd stop there.

I think I’m just barely out to the bumper, or if not it’s really close... so far I can’t tell a loss of mileage from the spoiler... could have made a slight gain but hard to tell... haven’t done any controlled ABA coastdown testing but it seems that I can coast a *little* further, based on the coast points on my commut... I have yet to gather any accurate load test data(hard to hold steady throttle at 55mph) I really need a hand throttle for such testing, as the low throttle angle (<25% load) is really hard to hold while wearing steel toed boots

Wow, I’m necro-posting a six month old thread, but I found a video which has some relevance to the subject...

Rather disappointing aerodynamics, isn't it?

It’s sad how bad it is... the air separates right at the apex of the roof and the mirrors appeared horrible (*makes mental note to delete them*)...

Perhaps a vortex generator array would help some, but I feel it would look majorly out of place 6-8” above the back glass...
