That'd be my guess too. My '98 started getting worse and worse mileage, and getting really hard to start. Had the original ECTS in it, which had cracked. Changed it myself in an hour or so and for $12 it solved all my problems.

When mine went I actually had to tow it back to the house to work on, wouldn't even stay running. Mine was cracked all the way around. Poked it once and it promptly fell apart completely.

I had already changed the old ECTS with a brass one for $12 too. I forgot to add that to the list so I dont know exactly when I changed it.

The front wheels are warm (same both sides) while the rear wheel rims are room temp. (warm is I can hold my hand against it forever)

This most recent tank was driven solely by my brother. It is his car now but I still want to get it in better shape since it was giving me only 27mpg a couple of times. Brother and Dad don't seem to think it is low on power so maybe it was just me coming from my new (to me) insight.
