Saturn Vue Engine Replacement

So I had a thrashed 1995 S10 that didn't run, and someone had stolen the driver's seat out of. Somehow, I traded it for a 2002 Saturn Vue, 2.2l, 5 speed, 2wd with 130k KMs. Few problems with it - 1. the engine is blown. 2. the pass window has been smashed out of it with half a plastic bag taped over the hole for the last year, so it's a tad wet inside lol. Im not too worried about that, but my question is will any similar era Ecotec work in this truck? I am guessing that if I get an engine out of say a Cavalier, that I will need to transfer over all the accessory drives and the oil pan from the Saturn, but is there anything else I need to watch out for in a Chev to Saturn swap? Thanks!

Check car-part.com for one out of a vue? Otherwise, match displacement, p/s option, and be prepared to swap intake, injectors, and oil pan.

Dang, ok thanks. Can't find any Vues at any of the local yards, but perhaps the salvage auction will get one in.

Is it the same engine that came with a CVT? Saturn Vues are still pretty new to see in junkyards around here, but the few that I have seen were from CVT failures.

I am guessing it's the same engine as a CVT model, but then you need to swap the flywheel over. Which is fine, but is the crank the same? Maybe the CVT crank doesn't have the pilot hole for the 5 speed input shaft? These are the kinds of things I want to avoid ha ha.
