Dog poop power

Story. They use dog poop in India to cook with. Now they light a dog park with it.

Methane can be generated with all sorts of poop: cow poop, pig poop, chicken poop, people poop, too. There are a few sewage treatment plants that do this, and they all could. Landfills can also generate methane that gets collected and used. Methane digesters have been around a long time -- I read about them in the '70's. The good news is that the "spent" slurry has fixed nitrogen (it doesn't dissolve in water i.e. the first rain doesn't wash it away!); making it a high quality fertilizer.

...we should set up a "poop" power plant in Washington, DC, where there'd be an 'endless supply' of fuel...
