Slightly OT - I would be interested in adjustment %s people are experiencing, if that is what the UG uses - basically how much of an adjustment did you have to use to make it match the actual fuel used ?

My mileage adjustment was .098 or thereabouts. Fuel is going to take a while because I've been resetting things and am only halfway through this tank.

Do either of these units read engine codes (OBD II)?

TIA

They both read and clear trouble codes.

I've found they use similar algorithms for calculating mpgs. I use the same 13.5% calibration on both SG and UG for my wife's Elantra. 13.5% is about right for my xB, too, although I'm using 21% now with my UG, since I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed when I fill up.

Thanks, Darrell. I need to get one to keep track of what is going on with my Accord and it will be nice to be able to check codes if one pops up. The consensus seems to favor the UG so I guess I will look into one soon.

Cheers

Both units are good. The UltraGauge has the edge due to its user-friendly interface and better display screen.

Thanks everybody.

I have seen the Scangauge purchase link on the home page, but I have not found one for the ultragauge or just plain missed it. Is there one or where is the best place to buy an ultragauge?

Cheers
