Scangauge questions

I'm thinking about getting one soon. I was looking the other day and my diagnostic port is not under the dash its under the hood on the passengers side has anyone run one that far?and how?

On the mpg readout would it read correct if you had different size tires and didn't have the speedo calibrated?

Thanks for any info

What kind of vehicle do you have? The "standard" location for the OBD port is inside the passenger compartment, not in the engine compartment. Are you sure what you're describing is the OBD connector and not something else?
