ScanGauge screen problem (only one row displayed)
Today my ScanGauge II only displayed the second row, the first row only had a few vertical bars:
The buttons for the top row don't work either, but the lower buttons are fine. I checked the cable and OBD socket, but that didn't change anything.
The last time I used it was about three weeks ago and everything was OK. Since then it was sitting at home on a shelf, so no cold or moisture.
Any ideas what it could be? My uneducated guess is that something inside became unsoldered, but this would imply physical damage, while the SG was safely tucked away. Anyone else had this?

That's the first I've heard of that problem.

OK, after talking with the family I found out that the wife had been cleaning the shelves a week ago. She isn't sure, but something may have fallen then, but she doesn't know if it was the SG. So it is possible that the insides are physically damaged.
I noticed that there are screws on the rear, so I wonder if it can be easily opened, and will opening it have any consequences? I've had it for more than 2 years, so it's no longer on warranty, but maybe it will become impossible to upgrade the software? Any advice? Would Linear Logic fix it if I sent it in for the newest upgrade?

LL said they'd send me a replacement board+screen with the newest upgrade version for the price of updating the software ($25, or $40 sent to Poland).

My SGII died about a month ago. I contacted LL and they said they would fix it and update it fer free. My display didn't show anything anymore...but the LED backlighting worked.
