Yup, best thread title today!

Unfortunately, car sales are tanking. SUV/pickup/crossover sales are growing. That plus multiple other problems = Scion-ara indeed.

I read that Toyota is likely chopping the Prius V in favour of the Rav4 hybrid as well.

Scion never really made any sense at all, I always seen it as a lost opportunity to rejuvenate the Toyota brand instead.

Not so sure about a phaseout of the Prius V. Considering that a hybrid version is already available on its Lexus equivalent, the NX, it does surprise me that the Rav4 is still not offered with this option.

Scion was "about" more than the models they had available: the no-haggling price and a la carte options were two things I also very much appreciated.

Having said that - after the first 3 models - tC, xB and xA, they were aimless and they lost focus. The iQ got a bigger American engine and a CVT only transmission - and lost the mileage of the non-US versions.

After I got my xA, my extended family now has four xD's.

Scion...er...Toyota extensively used SEMA for marketing but millennials define less with this kind of brand. They heavily identified the brand with a young highly-personalized auto lifestyle...unfortunately they grew up.
