600w Block Heaters, $15 ea. Help your mileage! Act Now!

Hey Guys,

I've got a line on a lot of 600w universal block heaters. There are 5 in total. The guy is asking $15 each, and he'll only sell them as a group. I don't want 5 (obviously) but if someone else wants one, i'll take the lot, and give one to whoever wants one at $15 each. I'll even drop it off if you live anywhere between Cambridge and Toronto or ship it anywhere at my cost to ship. Let me know if your interested, because i have to let him know.

-Steve

Which type heater is it. Is it a freeze plug heater, one that is just magneticly applied to the engne or oil pan or one that is placed in the radiator hose? If it is one that is placed in the radiator hose what size hose does it fit. If it's something I can use without a lot of modifications I might want 2 or 3 of them. Don't let them get away until i've let you know something.

They are the type that you clamp a radiator hose on to either side.

I'm not sure what diameter they are. Heres a picture. There is one already opened, and that's the one i'll use. The other 4 are enclosed in original packaging.

There's also a tach there if anyone wants it, and a block heater cord.

So, i'm gonna go ahead and get these as long as they fit my car. Hopefully i can sell at least 1-2 others and reduce my costs.

I just talked to the guy selling them, he claims there are adapters to adjust it for any reasonable size hose. He thinks it'll fit 1.25", 1.5" and 1.75" hoses.

At 600 watt these should have enough kick to warm even a truck engine, or alternatively, warm a car in engine fairly short order.

Ok, so i went and looked at them. They aren't what i thought. They have 5/8th hose fittings, which aren't included. They want you to put a 'Y' adapter in a line somewhere, that this new hose will hook up to. I'm not sure where the other line goes to. It's an older style. Because they weren't what i was expecting, i didn't buy them. If anyone still wants them, I can probably get all 5 for $60.
