I figured out the horizontal rule!

More frontal area but better aeroform, with a front overhang and a proper rear entrance.

A regular minivan would be a luxury hotel compared to the ruined Prius, and still gets 30 MPG.
Yes, but who is going to slide into that little cubby?!

I wonder what MPG that Prius gets now.

I thought of that.

I believe that was shared here a long time ago and someone called it a mullet, but it is still a vast improvement over this budget abomination.

I don't like the back end of the Inhabitat.

Why do front corners curve around the Prius?
Quote:
Camp-Inn has created this crazy looking conversion that adds a fiber-reinforced plastic hump on the top and back of the Prius. The conversion gives you a spacious living area that has room for a retractable coffee table and sofa. There’s even a second floor that has enough space for a bed.
Pictured: An extremely-complicated bunk bed.

The weirdo in the video didn't go into the floor of his camper, but the Prius roof has so much curve, I would think that it would make everything complicated.

Is that dead space above the windshield?

In-floor storage?

I wonder what it would look like for a normal Prius to wear a Prius V like a hat.

I slept in my Superbeetle [camper conversion] a Bonneville Salt Flats and Donner Pass. 34MPG. And in the Dasher Diesel in a Walmart in Ogden UT. 45MPG but difficult ingress/egress. With the Beetle you can just fall out the curbside door.

I slept in a '69 Bug every summer afternoon when I was an intern. Was given an hour lunch, and that was plenty of time to get a burger and fries at McDonalds and then sleep for 15min in the car, laying across the e-brake and shifter.

Maybe the other way around, since the V is bigger, but I didn't realize it is only 5.3" longer, but the roof doesn't taper as much after the peak, so it has much more cargo space.

I can't find pictures of a Prius and a V together to compare sizes, but I thought that if you had the base of the Prius V windshield at the top of the Prius windshield, you might have something like the Inhabitat, but more aerodynamic.

SuperFastMatt started a van conversion the best way possible--the laziest way: I found it vastly more entertaining than: https://youtu.be/eVxdaWkYKYo?si=8Ez5R02H8FMeHj-h I swear that at 11:29, she says "Washcloves."

I can sleep inside nearly every vehicle with enough legroom and a reasonable backrest reclining angle for a few hours, but making it as reasonable as a hotel room is a whole different deal...

I have tried napping in my Camry a couple of times lately when Mom had appointments at 7-8 and I needed to bring my brother.

For one, I specifically needed to stay on-premises.

Didn't I mention pricing sedan services somewhere?

I couldn't sleep.

I am good at... not sleeping...

A nap in my car seems like a poor time to take something to help me sleep.

This comment will self-destruct... submit... in 5 minutes!

I set a timer and am down to 4:30!

How?!

Where does the time go?!

I mentioned the Prius camper to my wife, tried to find the thread, and found related distractions first, like a couple living out of their Prius, and they bought one of these tents: https://www.amazon.com/Napier-5-Minu.../dp/B01MUEGMLR They also complained about their pivot-arm cargo carrier with a storage box, and said they wish they had gone with roof storage: Please tell them they are stupid!

Solliam explains that roof storage ruin MPG: It looks like he felt the Prius was too small.

How did that take 5 minutes?!
