The 'box cavity' paper seems more related to Coanda nozzles. I'm curious about the 45° and 60° angles cited and the shape of the outlets.

The tapered body paper looks to be of interest to the pickup truck aerocap builders.

The diffuser paper I will have to find time for later.

Edit: I'm halfway through the diffuser paper. Most interesting so far
  • Figure 2-2-2 which shows strategies for simulating a moving roadbed. The conclusion is that with a fixed roadbed you can compare but not quantify features.
  • Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) measurements as shown in Figure 2-2-8, which uses laser light sheets and atomized olive oil to reveal and record flow within a field of view.
