I feel your pain. Excellent work, vandalized. I'm sorry for your situation.

Next time use some conductive material and set it up so the car battery puts a good current through it. Then just follow the screams and smell of smoking hair

I had stuff stolen out of my '59 at a cruise night event- I bring it up because like you I was never more than 40 feet away from the car! How did it even happen- I couldn't begin to say. Didn't think I had to lock up if I was sitting right there but I guess so. Takes some serious balls to do something like that.

They'll work in teams. One person gets you into conversation, or shows you something, while the other approaches from the side of the car most difficult for you to see. But I'd bet you already know that.

Yeah. We had a picnic meal too and it happened when I was stuffing my face. Must have been in the zone.

I've had my car vandalized a bunch. It pisses me off to no end! When I had a Kammback duct taped to the back, somebody ripped it off on one side. And now, somebody has decided that my rear fender skirts' bolts weren't tight enough. Now I can't remove my skirts without destroying them. Can't rotate my tires, or check tire pressures...

I FEEL YOUR PAIN.

.

I finally got around to fixing the hole.

Here it is without the tape.

Glued it back together as best as I could using some Black RTV Silcone.

I forgot to take a picture the day of the repair so I took one this morning in the rain. Looks much better in the rain... Lol...

The funny part is that right after repairing the fist hole, as I walked around the other side of the car. I slipped and fell against the car putting another smaller hole in that side with my elbow. D'oh...!!!

Oh well, the car's a 50 footer at best anyhow.
(Some would say 500' is more like it...)

maybe it got hit by a foul ball or something? Or otherwise was an accident (they didn't realize how fragile it was or bumped into it). Looks like foam, easy fix, glue and press it back together, throw some lightweight spackle at it. There is an inherent risk with lightweight, but it is mitigated in the low costs repairs (I flew a few foamy RC planes).
