On saturday Sept 10th the Amherst astronomical society will be setting up a bunch of telescopes on the top of Mount Greylock in Adams MA (Western MA). It's starts at 8pm and is cancelled for bad weather.

I went to the one last night and it was stunning! I saw shooting stars, the rings of Saturn, Mars, the Milky way, nebula, star clusters and the Andromeda Galaxy. I highly suggest going if you can. If you live in a light polluted area it is a revelation. The view at sunset on the mountain is stunning as well!
