SpeedTracer MPG graphing software and ...

SpeedTracer is a free clingon that is packaged with
AutoEnginuity software .
i have had AutoEnginuity for years but never really tried the SpeedTracer until last friday. it works , the upper limit is set to 60 mpg and is not user adjustable , but the powers that be at AutoEnginuity have promised to increase the limit to 75 mpg for the next release .

the MPG graphing provides
real time fuel economy in MPG
MPG per the current trip
current speed
i have included 2 screen caps and a data-log graphed with open office

All well and good but they want $50.00 for a upgrade...

Also to used it you have to fill out a TON of questions like tire size, gear ratio, engine size, weather conduction's like temp, air speed and direction, relative humidity etc...THEN it will work.

I already get all that using my AutoXray 7000 OBDII Scanner, GPS, scangaugeII and other systems.

Oh well

So, if you get more than 60 mpg, it can't be used?

Sounds like a great fail.

I agree but they did not make it for us MPG nuts..it is more a data tracker...and from what you have to put in NOT worth the effort unless it is your only data recorder...

And again if your copy of Autoenginuity is less than a year old you can get a free upgrade...

And after all how many people really do get over 60MPG??

Rich

Ahh, I see. OK, I thought it was for MPG-nuts. Seems a bit anti-climatic if it was, ha!

Yeah, sadly, most of the rabbits on the road have no use for anything above 60mpg. Even though you can get a "buy and drive" option like a Prius, or a gas-free Leaf, they can't give up their gas suckers.
