CdA # Vs speed should be somewhat the same as spirit ?(not accounting for the variability of peek power's [150BHP] rpm/and or final drive raito matchingfor top speed) slower =higher CdA#, faster =lower CdA#. Nice way to express what kind of affect CdA has.
---
Stock to stock comparison Im faster than the H1 @92.5(gps )@2500rpm 76^3mm fule per combustion event@ 160BHP. That is mostly a final gear raito Vs governor(rpm limit) cause /effect. 6.2L NA IDI has a higher rev limit (3500rpm @155hp),but lower gear(th400 Trans 1:1* Dif.2.73:1 *hub 1.92:1 =5.2416:1 final) *36" or 37" tire. compaired to my 5.9L TDI Cummins (518 trans .69:1 *diff3.55:1=2.4495 final and 160BHp @governed 2500rpm) *31.7" tire. Were you place the power has more effect than the volume.
The 2nd generation H1 ('94 newer) tops @85 ,95mph NA , turbo respectively. Gen1Vs gen2 6.5 L Diesel 170 hp @ 3400 RPM ('97) .75 OD (4L80) *2.56 diff*1.92hub=3.68 final. (Taller diff +OD) notice more top speed on gen2 . Gen2 hit the HP wall/ speed limit. Gen1 hit the governor speed limit(yes the governor from personal experience). Notice a difference on gen2 NA Vs turbo. This is an example of the importance of were you place the power Vs how much. With a 3500 governor3.68 final =169mph minus CdA and HP lacking/miss-placed penalties =85 or 95
I dont remember did you regear spirit for the missed 126mph mark.

I think mpg is around 20 hwy, will try and verify with a source.

Low 20's according to the forum.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...-911s-e-t.html

I was getting 26 mph mostly hwy with my 175 hp 1977 911s, 2.7L CIS (140 mph).

Some guys claim 30-35 mph with slightly later 911cs MFI 3.2L (150 mph).

I ran 'rubber' gearing in 2012-2016,to get the rpms down a little. This gave it gearing for 156-mph @ the 5,500-rpm redline. It hurt acceleration at Bonneville, but I was happy to gain 9-mph in the mile, whereas Mini Coopers and Mazda-3s were losing 18-mph/6-mph respectively. The average 34-mpg @ 65-mph was nice too!
The passenger car tires, synthetic gear lube, and semi-syn trans oil are probably giving some speed,as I'm exceeding what Hucho's formula predicts.I've got to 114-mph since, on the GPS,and it's as accurate to the mile per hour as the SCTA timing equipment at Bonneville.
I'll have more narrow rear tires at DARKO,than in 2014.Theoretically,that would show up when measuring drag.
